Shutterfly Likes:

Shutterfly has recently become the king of "photo gifts". With the most inexpensive custom-bound photo books on the market, along with great prices on a myriad of other gift items, Shutterfly is a great choice for those who love to order things besides prints. For those who do love to print you can buy prints in bulk and get them for as low as 10 cents (normally 15 cents) which is not the cheapest price around, but is quite reasonable.

Shutterfly also has some the best photo sharing features in the free site category. To share your photos, simply send your friends the address of your customer Shutterfly website. You can choose to require a password, or leave it open for the world to see. Also choose your theme, colors, and widgets to add to your site. Very cool!

Shutterfly is also great because they promise to "NEVER delete any of your photos, EVER!". Compared to some other consumer photosharing sites that regularly delete your photos, this is a great promise, and removes the constant pressure to buy more items.

Shutterfly Dislikes:

There is a lot to like about Shutterfly, but like all sites there are some things that are less than ideal. For one, Shutterfly doesn't allow you to download your full resolution photos (not even for a fee), so its not quite suitable as the backup source for all your photos. The only other option Shutterfly is missing is the option to print at home, if you need a couple pictures quickly and you do not want to wait for shipping.

Bottom Line:

With great and easy photo sharing, reasonable print prices, and great photo gifts, Shutterfly is a great option for those who want it all for free!
