The Kodak Gallery site (previously Ofoto.com) was one of the first and is still one of the best websites for sharing and ordering prints, books, calendars, etc. Besides the website, Kodak offers free "Easy Share" software, that lets you tag, rate, and categorize all your photos on your computer. It will also keep you organized and allow you to order backup CDs of all your photos at a reasonable cost your photos easily in case your computers hard-drive ever crashes. Kodak also lets you print some of the best quality photo books, with a full range of selection from beautiful leather bound copies suitable for weddings, to small books inexpensive enough for everyday occasions.
If you are a Kodak fan, you may want to consider their Premier Service for $24.99 a year of the Premier Service with discount prints for $49.99. With the upgraded accounts, you can create customized web galleries (similar to SmugMug but not as advanced), create your own unique domain name, and password protect your photo galleries if you wish. You can also create and market completed photo books that you can sell for a profit.
On the downside, the online galleries are not at all customizable, and you can only share small resolution photos with your friends. Also, make sure you make at least one purchase a year, or your photos may be deleted. Your friends must sign-in or create an account to view your photos, and the print prices are slightly more expensive then the discount sites. However, the frequent sales and promotions, (check back here to see the latest one), will help take the sting out of the slightly more expensive products.
Overall, the Kodak Gallery is a great choice for printing your digital photos, on either high-quality photo paper or on a variety of other items (espeically nice photo books are created very easily). Their Easy Share software is not bad, and could certainly help organize an unruly photo collection, not to mention make ordering from the Gallery quite easy.
